After several months, I’m back. 🙂
I apologize for the extremely negative last couple of posts and for oversharing regarding personal problems.
If you hadn’t read the recent posts that’s good. To make a long story short, I’ve been going through some things, one of them was being completely not able to keep up with several promises to myself, including this blog; and it had affected my confidence in writing. It also made it more difficult to maintain a positive blog while my thoughts and environment were anything but peaceful. Until a few minutes ago, I was still trying to figure out what to do with this blog. And then I discovered someone left a comment on one of my older posts.
Her name is Jenny and she said, “I totally love this post. It’s inspiring and I can relate to it. Great writing!” (You can read her blog via this link: http://myendlessrantsandramblings.wordpress.com/)
It’s this short and simple but thoughtful comment that made me realize, I inspired someone! They like my writing! What the heck am I doing?? I’ve got to get back to doing what I said I’d set out to do!
And the comment was for the most appropriate post, the post I needed. The title alone was a slap to my face. “Circumstances don’t make you, they reveal you.”
So, if you get to read this Jenny, again thank you so much for the comment. It was such a wake-up call.
It such a nice reminder that you often don’t know it but small acts of appreciation and kindness can actually have a great impact on others.
I think that’s what we need the most these days—little acts of kindness. Little can create big changes.
